Division summary

At Calypso, R&D comprises of Development, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams. These teams work towards delivering a powerful yet flexible technology platform keeping the needs of end customer in mind. The development teams ensure that all codes are delivered to clients with the highest quality. Product managers are technical and capital market experts who work together to design and build the software and product roadmap, whereas; QA team constantly aims at enhancing the quality of Calypso’s platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades and migrations.

Team and role overview

Our current clients’ operations span all continents and in the APAC there is a particular need to support our organization in direct relation to our professional service deliveries. You should be familiar with the project context of a large software implementation.

Your appetite for innovations and prior experience will contribute to the success of our business plan, helping to alleviate the overhead of our product development and management team and facilitating collaboration with the rest of the organization.

What you will be doing

• Overseeing multiple projects and act as a coordinator
• Transversal coordination of the team, preserving the commitments with the client in time and scope
• Present and highlight the potential impact and remediation plan of the program to senior management on a regular basis.
• Defend our long-term transformation goals and implement practical processes to achieve them.
• Engage and work with development teams to understand the technical solution and make informed decisions.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams, lead the collaborative planning process, prioritize the work to be done against the capacity and capacity of the team.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale IT projects or business transformation projects.
• A strong change agent who can take people on a journey and communicate strategy and benefits to the overall business, ability to interact with C-Suite
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Proven experience working with infrastructure and cross-functional technical teams.
• Agile / scaled leadership, peer and team coaching to realize their potential
• Previous experience in budget responsibility to forecast and manage project costs.
• Exposure to buy or sell side negotiation technologies, ideally through the expertise of a supplier, consultancy or bank / fund
• Previous experience working on cloud and cloud migration projects, including DevOps enhancement features
• Experience in delivering critical business projects with tight deadlines
• Exposure to AWS, Oracle Cloud or Azure from the point of view of business management (Cloud Practitioner) or any other role would be advantageous

Our office

Calypso Mumbai is located on the 2nd floor of Ackruti Center Point building. We’re very close to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, and Five Star hotels. We have excellent transport links nearby, including Andheri Metro and railway station. Restaurant like China Gate, Box, Tunga International are just opposite of our building. We have two large offices on the 2nd floor and our cafeteria is modern with coffee vending machine, coffee/tea/snacks are always available as well games like Carrom, Foosball, Chess, Table Tennis etc. Two boxes of fresh fruit are delivered once a week.
