About the role

Experienced Data Science & Analytics professional. Creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may be applied to various areas of the business (e.g., Market Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing/Advertising, Scientific Research, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the Carrier Refrigeration Division (CRD) Warranty Database, including interfacing with IT, Finance, CRD Claims Processing Group, CRD factories and other groups who provide data to, or are users of, the database.

  • Responsible for running and maintaining a series of standard monthly reports with data and information extracted from the CRD Warranty Database.

  • Responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving new database queries and spreadsheets for new reports as needed.

  • Responsible for constructing ad hoc queries, and then providing analysis of the results, as to answer questions posed by WHQ, Engineering, Factories, FSEs, Quality, etc.

  • Responsible to consolidate and generate monthly and annual reports summarizing REF Quality trends and results.

  • Miscellaneous reports supporting Quality Director deliverables.

  • Continuously monitor and improve the quality of data used in analytics

  • Automate and operationalize data pipelines

  • Collaborate effectively with cross functional team from international culture, advise on analytical approaches and solutions to address business challenges

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Applied Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or Quality

  • Min 5 years of database analyst experience (min 1year with Master degree)

  • Min 1 year of experience working with databases, e.g. Snowflake, Oracle (min 1year with Master degree)

  • Proficient/Expert with Data Analytic Tools, e.g. AWS, Minitab, MS Excel, MS Access

  • Proficient/Expert with Visualization and Management, e.g. Power BI, Tableau

  • Proficient/Expert with Programming Language, e.g. C, SQL, VBA

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Strong understanding of relational database structures and concepts

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor business performance, including ad hoc reports

  • Ability to construct table/queries/spreadsheet from data mining, identify trends and patterns in data, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions

  • Ability to create and format charts, graphs, tables, etc., as to present data and results in a clear and professional way

  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) experience (Power BI, Business Objects, Metacube, or similar GUI) used to develop necessary routines and ad hoc queries.

  • Able to program in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Access and Excel.

  • Ability to edit and execute Structured Query Language (SQL) code and work with Tableau are desirable skill sets.

Pay Range:

$71,500 - $125,500 Annually
