Pre-Silicon Validation Engineer

Graphics & Throughput Computing Hardware Engineering (GTCHE) is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We are looking for a Senior Pre-Silicon Verification Engineer with strong architectural knowledge, verification experience and leadership qualities to join our team.

In this position, we are looking for a self driven individual who is motivated and highly energetic to be an individual contributor/technical lead for IP and SubSystem level verification. Will be responsible for working with architects, understanding the architecture spec, creating testplans, ensuring timely execution, providing technical guidance and debug support to the team.

We are looking for a strong technical contributor who can provide direction for the team and create a verification strategy for the product. Would like the candidate be innovation focussed and capable of driving enhancements in verification processes as part of project execution

Required Skills and Experience:

• Good understanding of Computer Architecture and System Level understanding
• Experience developing testplans and implementation/execution of testplans for complex SoCs
• Expertise in system verilog and OVM or UVM based verification methodologies

• Hands on Debug experience is a must
• Knowledge of using any of the industry standard scripting languages like perl,python, tcl
• Knowledge of IEEE ethernet standard for 25G/40G/100G/400G PCS

• Communicating effectively, coordinating and working with Architects and Design developers and SOC integration teams

Desirable Skills

• Verification experience in networking domain is highly desirable
• Verification of 25/40/100/400G Ethernet MAC/PCS. Somebody who has setup verification environments using industry standard VIPs
• Verification of Packet Classification and Packet Scheduler

• Experience in OOPS concepts and knowledge of C++
• Experience in the area of Post Silicon Debug would be a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
