Job Description

Job Title: Principe Software Engineer

Reporting To: Senior Manager

Work Location: Bangalore

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, individual needs to utilize Performance optimization and Observability skills, to monitor the applications on cloud and look for avenues to improve the application performance. Collaborate with geographically distributed development teams for continuous improvement.

Specific Assignments:

  • Setup and maintain cloud applications:

o Design and implement monitoring infrastructure in the cloud

o Design smart monitoring that alerts on symptoms (as per SLIs) rather than on causes, to make each alert meaningful and actionable.

o Monitor the health of all systems in the cloud using AppInsights and other monitoring tools

o Check that all systems are complaint to company standards

  • Benchmark and Monitor non-performing services/components
  • Design and implement solutions for improving the web application performance

Other Assignments:

  • Work closely with the Performance Engineering Practice teams to bring best practices
  • Work closely with Development teams and DevOps teams to bring the cloud initiative to success
  • Provide support to other departments for cloud related questions

Skills required:

  • Expertise in Application monitoring tools like AppInsights, Grafana ..
  • Expertise in solving performance concerns in in the full stack (UI layer, Service layer and DB layer)
  • Knowledge of Messaging Service Bus / Azure Service Bus will be added advantage
  • Strong experience with agile/iterative software development methodologies.
  • Strong Analytical skills with ability to multi task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate core concepts, progress and roadblocks across internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in application monitoring and development, with atleast 2 years of relevant professional experience in Microsoft Web Stack
