Our Client is a manufactures of parts for Hydraulics and Heavy Engineering sector, in an integrated plant using an innovative and high technology adapted manufacturing process.

Job Description As Bellow

They require a knowledgeable and experienced Procurement officer with good understanding of supply chain procedures from a metal manufacturing industry.
  • Analyze vendor and supplier development
  • Preparation of pre-qualification report and price bid evaluation report. Follow up with
  • suppliers for timely delivery of goods
  • Coordinate with account department for suppliers payment.
  • Conduct market research to identify price trends.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
  • Price management: comparisons, and verification
  • Setting up the weekly, monthly quarterly and one plus three procurement plan.
  • Preparation and process purchase orders and document in accordance with company
  • policies and procedures.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management development of alternative local suppliers in case
  • of material coming from out station.
  • Inventory Management: ensuring inventory levels are adequate for the business
  • [FG/WIP/RM/SCRAP RM [rejection, boring , Returns etc] and all types of
  • consumables.
  • Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers and vendor to ensure
  • that all items are delivered to store on time.
  • Research about potential vendors, compare product deliveries with issued purchase
  • orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies.
  • ABC Classification of vendors on the basis of criteria like cost, quality, timely
  • delivery.
  • Establish long term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the
  • company.
  • Maintain strong working relationship with vendors and suppliers
  • Update internal database with order details (dates, vendors quantities, discounts)

Supplier and Vendor Delivery Rating

Consumption of material ratio

Interjectory percentage

Supplier defect rate

PO and invoice accuracy

Rate of emergency purchase

You will be successful here if you are / have (Qualification)

BA, B.Com or BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field

Worked in any metal manufacturing industry for Minimum 1 years experience (and

maximum of 3 years) as a procurement officer or related position

Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint,

Outlook, and Excel)

Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions

Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
