Applications are invited from talented and motivated candidates for working in recently sanctioned projects of CSIR-CSMCRI by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, entitled “Identification of Potential Locations across India for Seaweed Cultivation and valorisation technologies – WP-6 Seaweed based formulations/sap for reduced disease susceptibility in important oil yielding crops peanut and sesame.” at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. :


M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Botany/ Biochemistry.



Job requirement

:


The selected candidates will work on Physiological, Biochemical, molecular biology and biotechnology related project activities in WP-6.

Desirable: Experience in biochemical and molecular analysis of plants.



Emoluments


:


CSIR Project Associate-I:

(i) ₹ 31,000/- + HRAto scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Test- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) a selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions.

(ii) ₹ 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

35 years (Project Associate-I)




Senior Project Associate: (1 Post)



Qualification*


:


Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Botany/Plant Science/ Biological Science.

Desirable:Minimum three publications in SCI journals

CSIR Senior Project Associate: ₹ 42,000+HRA /-per month)

40 years (Senior Project Associate)

Applications received by mail will be scrutinized based on certain criteria and only such shortlisted candidates as are eligible as per criteria will be asked to attend the interview using the online mode. The details of the interview will be sent to such candidates by e-mail. The interview of the shortlisted candidates is scheduled on 2nd February, 2022 (Wednesday) at 10.30 AM through Skype. The selected candidates may pursue the Ph.D. programme in AcSIR as per the guidelines.

Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.
