Responsibilities:

Importing, cleaning, transforming, validating and modeling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for policy making purposes
Convert business problem into data requirements and apply suitable scientific methods to arrive at a solution and translate further into business action
Apply statistical (descriptive statistics/Inferential statistics) and data mining techniques for problem solving
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present the findings using appropriate visualization tools
Work with cross locational teams to prioritize business and information needs
Explore newer, simpler and effective scientific solutions in order deliver projects.

Requirements:

College Graduates with 3-6 years of experience as a data analyst or business intelligance analyst
Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Solid knowledge of and experience with databases and programming (SQL)
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (SAS, R, etc)
Proficient in MS office tools like Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
High level of proficiency and Hands on experience in Tableau and other visualization tools
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Ability to work separately with various stake holders/partners and a solid team member
Graduate/Engineering/Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
