Roles and Responsibilities

Tracking news and happenings in the education domain including college admissions/ result dates, new courses launched, campus developments, scholarships, competitions, policy changes, summer placements at top institutes like IIMs, IITs, etc.
Ideating stories and executing them through conducting interviews, focused research and follow up will be required.
Combining various pieces of content from primary/secondary research and bringing out the trend on topical issues on a regular basis.
The profile includes a mix of desk and field work. Candidate should be able to conduct interviews on phone as well face-to-face. Website will have video content as well, so student reactions/ interviews will required to be captured on camera from time to time.

Desired Candidate Profile

3-7 years of experience in Content Writing preferably from Education/Media industry.
Bachelors in Journalism & Mass Communication or English Honors.
Strong Internet surfing skills and inclination to research on stories as well as secondary information gathering for ongoing education-based projects for the website.
Ability to approach new people & make new contacts to have more information sources.
Work on field/outdoor assignments independently.
Ability to handle a digital camera to capture video interviews for the website is expected.
Writing/re-writing content as required for value-addition, making sure it is error-free and matches the interest and tone of the site.
Good knowledge of SEO
