JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Executive/Senior Executive - Inside Sales - Export.

Department : Commercial.

Reporting To : Branch Manager.

Location : Gandhidham

Short brief on role:

This role requires effective handling of local CIF customers. Close follow up and co-ordination with existing and new customers. Promotion of CC+ Products/Intermodal/Last and First mile services.

Key responsibilities

  • Identification of new customers and new businesses by existing customers.
  • Telephonic Sales calls with new and existing customers – 20 calls per week.
  • Update client profiles in vessel profile/client identification file (in case of new customer or change in the potential / budget of existing customer by end of the week).
  • Prepare sales visit reports (outcome of the meeting and action plan) – within 24 HRS.
  • Quote to the customers through mails / phones
  • Propose volume potential to pricing desks in HO / RO followed by LARA quotation filing.
  • Generate sales leads for cargo controlled out of India and send to respective counter parts.
  • Maintain Lost Customers file.
  • Update clients’ portfolio on monthly basis.
  • Be supported by inside support team for rate filing.
  • Follow up with the customers for booking (Quotation follow-up)
  • Collect market information (regards rates, new services, AOB) on competition activities and submit to Reporting manager & Trade desks regularly.
  • Generate sales leads for cargo controlled out of India or business controlled for another branch and send to respective counter parts.

Key performance standards

  • Need to perform 12 LISA CRM activities per week.
  • All target quotations to be followed up within maximum 48 hours of sending.
  • Report to reporting manager on weekly basis on successful & unsuccessful quotes with reasons and new biz won

Requirements and specific skills

· Minimum graduate.

· Minimum Experience of 3-4 years in shipping industry.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· MS office skills.

· Go-getter and pro-active approach.

· Good analysis skills.
