Job Description

Orrick is seeking a managing associate to join its trademark prosecution and enforcement practice. A qualified candidate will have 4–6 years of experience with trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement matters. Preference will be given to candidates that would work in the following offices: Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle, or Silicon Valley.

Overall, candidates must have excellent legal research and writing skills, an ability to work independently, and strong attention to detail. More specifically, among other things, candidates must have considerable experience : performing trademark searches in the U.S. and foreign countries, reviewing and preparing all types of USPTO filings, preparing all types of office action responses, managing foreign filings including through foreign counsel and the Madrid system, preparing cease and desist letters and researching adverse parties, policing and enforcement matters in the U.S. and foreign countries, managing large portfolios, TTAB proceedings of all types; some litigation including experience with UDRP proceedings a plus.

Job Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience.
  • JD from accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Bar
