Job Responsibilities :

.

  • To Manage, direct, guide and monitor a team of Expediting Engineers to ensure timely delivery of procured Capex Project items from the vendors to the respective site after completion of all Inspection formalities, generation/review of status reports and expediting reports.
  • To allocate the PO for expediting to the members of expediting team.
  • To conduct KOM with main agenda which shall comprise on contact details of key persons, communication protocol, execution philosophy, major milestones, submission of VDDS, methodology for Logistics arrangement.
  • To monitor submission/ re-submission of documents (GA Drawings, P & ID, ITP, Quality Procedures etc.) with vendor and for approval by RIL / DEC.
  • To Monitor status of sub-orders for main equipment/materials and to follow up for the sub ordering.
  • To coordinate/Monitor with the TPI agency /RIL Inspection team for inspections during various manufacturing stages and to ensure supplier compliance with the approved QC procedures.
  • To Monitor and collate weekly / monthly progress reports of Supplier / Sub vendor and to follow up for timely completion as per the milestones.
  • To allocate and finalize regular field visit to the supplier / sub vendor premises to ascertain the progress and flag any issues.
  • To identify and resolve any issue affecting delivery of item/equipment and escalate areas of concern.
  • To coordinate with other stake holders (Projects, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Logistics, Accounts, Stores) and to apprise them for the relevant status. Highlight area of concern and work towards resolution for the same.
  • To monitor timely submission of document/reports/IRN by TPI/Vendor and expedite issuance of Engg clearance and SQ Clearance by DEC/RIL.
  • To Monitor TPI, Supplier, Logistics and RIL team for packing and delivery.
  • To Monitor vendor for timely issue of invoice. SBLC and coordinate for timely payment to the supplier.
  • To Monitor vendor performance and compliance with respect to PO terms
  • To arrange for close out of the order once delivery is completed and all documents are submitted.
  • To prepare and issue MoM and MIS based on the desired schedule / frequency.
  • Ensure people development and performance management within the department
  • Develop competencies within the group on innovation and development for better expediting
  • To assist Setting and facilitate systems support for effective execution of responsibilities of Expediting Group
  • To assist in Setting goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback to Expediting Engineers

Education Required

  • Necessary -

a. Graduate Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation)


Desirable:

  • Masters in Bus Admin / Supply Chain Management
  • Additional qualification in Project Management

Experience Required

Necessary

  • 9+ years of experience in similar work environment either within or outside large Oil & Gas, Refinery and Petrochemical plants
  • The incumbent should have background of Expediting of major mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, pumps and compressors etc.) and bulk items (pipes, flanges, fittings, valves etc.) used in Oil & Gas and Refinery & Petrochemical plants
  • Should have a good idea of various stages involved in manufacturing of equipment/items
  • Should have good communication skills

5+ years people leadership responsibility for 10+ people
