Location: Surendranagar, Gujarat, India.

This position is responsible for leading new investments in technology, assess plans from a feasibility perspective, prepare project plans to monitor progress, oversee delivery of projects and review implementation of new investments in order to drive projects to achieve objectives in stipulated timelines and budgets.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
  • 30% - Capital Expenditure / Improvement projects
  • Ideate and plan new projects / initiatives based on business goals and current operations processes
  • Collate capital expenditure proposals and evaluate them against return on investment, payback period, operational feasibility, criticality of the project, impact to business, nature of benefit, period of benefit, etc.
  • Prepare business justification for the shortlisted proposals, after finalizing the scope of work, and present them for approval to leadership team and other stakeholders
  • Prepare mid to long-term plan, encompassing the above inputs, prioritize projects based on business criticality and organization objectives, and draft annual operating plan
  • 40% - Project Management
  • Prepare project plan with milestones, timelines, budget, manpower and other resource requirement
  • Negotiate/influence stakeholders for release of resources
  • Negotiate release of resources against scope creep
  • Monitor progress of project against defined schedules, challenge data and assumptions to improve results, and modify plans for mid-course corrections
  • Add some bit on technical in this role as well as DGM production where we are giving his superiors responsibility. The role will be a technical expert we need to add a line around technical review recommendations, trials, feedback
  • Also responsible for ensuring smooth operations for 3 months post project commissioning.
  • Provide status update to stakeholders, and communicate and manage issues/ risks with divisional leadership
  • Oversee delivery of projects as per specified objectives, budgets, timelines, adherence to safety and quality criteria, and smooth plant acceptance testing

  • Vendor Management
  • Monitor achievement of project targets by managing vendors across all 3P production plants across raw materials, packaging goods and machinery
  • Review cost and time targets to check efficacy of the plans put forward by vendors

  • Facilities Management
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of plant facility and utilities and reduce downtime due to disruptions in the same
  • Review and approve any budget related to the same
  • 10%
  • Personal Capability Development
  • Responsible and committed for the training and development plan for self
  • Be the ‘owner’ for continuous growth under the supervision of the DGM Production 3P / AVP OBD (to be updated)

Education: Graduation in Engineering

Experience: 4+ experience in FMCG Production
