Clear forayed into the world of Supply Chain SaaS 18 months ago. A start-up within a start-up, supply chain has carved out its own niche within the org. We are building a global product in the procure to pay realm catering to mid to large enterprises

Role & Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a Pre-sales Engineer who can work as a connecting layer between Sales and post-sales delivery teams. This role will ensure the right technical scope is agreed with customers and has been correctly handed over to the delivery teams. The role will report under the Head of Delivery.

  • Understand Clear SaaS products in depth and work with internal technology teams to define the best process for pre-sales.

  • Conduct client meetings/discovery calls with Sales Representatives for exact technical requirements gathering (Business, technical and functional requirements) and offering customers the best solution for their needs.

  • Coordinate with the sales team to create customised solutions in line with Clear products and delivery capability.

  • Develop standard summary documents to cover FAQs from customers on Clear technical solutions, documents on delivery process, efforts and cost estimation

  • Coordinate with internal delivery teams and pull right team members who can help with customer pre-sales calls.

  • Act as a single point of contact for the Sales team for any pre-sales technical queries.

  • Support sales team with due diligence, IT security and all technical related queries.

  • Draft and deliver presentations on technical solutions, design/ architecture diagrams agreed during pre-sales calls.

  • Define standard SOW, modify the SOW as per customer requirements and provide to the Sales team for contract closure.

  • Ensure that requirement documentation is maintained to the highest quality and accuracy.

  • Explain and handover the agreed scope of work and timelines to the delivery team. Attend initial customer delivery meetings to ensure handshake between Customer and Delivery team.

  • Develop and maintain consultative relationship with Customer

  • In peak demand, handle 5-7 customer calls in a day and deliver on the required scope documents, handover responsibilities etc.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to manage stakeholders at CXO and mid senior level

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - A passion for solving tough problems and proposing elegant solutions.

  • Curiosity and the desire to learn and adapt - Our business is changing and growing fast. So flexibility is the key to learning and helping teach others.

  • Ability to work both independently

  • Flexibility to be available for customer calls on short notice and adjusting the schedule to accommodate sales team requests

  • High level of ownership, ability to work in extremely high pace environment with cross-functional collaboration

  • Very good decision making and problem solving skills

  • Good combination of IQ + EQ to handle senior customer stakeholders patiently

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the computer science/ information technology; MBA is a plus

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in pre-sales technical roles in handling large enterprise customers in B2B SaaS product sales

  • Must have : Familiarity with enterprise software systems like SAP ECC, S4/Hana, Oracle JDE, Oracle Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics Nav/AX
