About Business Unit

Quality is everything at Dell Technologies. It’s what we’re known for and we build it into all our processes. In Quality Engineering we play a central role by developing, implementing as well as maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems. We look for ways to improve the inspection, verification and validation of our finished products. Our team defines strategy – not to mention governance – for the implementation of quality standards and methodology. In addition to participating in the review of engineering designs, we assist customers or engineers in gathering and analyzing data.

Role Overview

As a Software Principle Quality Engineer, you will develop, revise and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements.  You will work with closely with our Sustaining development, Escalation Engineering and the Customer Support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate to develop comprehensive test plans for DELL EMC Compellent/Storage Center platform. You will also have the opportunity to drive continual process improvements for the evolution of testing procedures and their future replication.

Graduate with 7+ years’ experience QE automation and storage and software awareness

Experience in Selenium, Perl, Python, Java and Javascript, REST API for automation

Experience in server, network and storage hardware in a lab environment.

Experience troubleshooting both hardware and software.

Experience in VMWare (vShpere and Centera), MS SQL, MySQL and AD/LDAP

Experience third party application storage plugin certification

Ability to read a specification (hardware, software or network) and develop appropriate test methodology

Learn new tools, programming language and framework to increase productivity

Essential Requirements
