Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Should have in depth knowledge & working experience of Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 and also multi-jurisdictional arbitrations.

2. The candidate should also have in depth knowledge and working experience of CPC, Evidence Act, Contract Act and various laws relating to Commercial transactions.

3. The candidate should have in depth knowledge and working experience of infrastructure related matters, having a special knowledge about the road, port, airport sector, etc. The candidate should also have in depth knowledge and working experience in mining sector.

4. The candidate should be in depth knowledge and working experience in data assimilation, claim detection, drafting of various project and contract related communication including Legal Notices.

5. Should have good drafting skill and can independently draft Statement of Claims, Applications, Petitions, Statement of Defences, Statement of Rejoinders, etc.

6. The candidate should also have in depth knowledge and working experience of handling Court related matters pertaining to Arbitration including but not limited to section 9, 11, 14, 15, 27, 34, 36 and 37.

7. The candidate should also have in depth knowledge and working experience in handling matters related to enforcement of foreign awards.

8. The candidate should have in depth knowledge and experience of preparing witness depositions and also preparing the witness for cross examination.

9. Must have experience in initiating/ defending/ managing litigation, with a keen aim at solving cases (including frequent court visits).

1. Strategic thinking - Identifying risk/ opportunity areas and highlighting them;

2. Presentation and facilitation skills - Ability to drive meetings, build presentations that interpret the data, creating valuable business insights;

3. Be accountable for projects assigned, take complete ownership and drive projects end to end;

4. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and become integrated into their system;

5. Experience working with Business leaders/ leadership groups.


Work Experience Required: 5 years and more


Qualification: LLB from reputed university


Criteria for selection

1. Candidates from top institutes, National Law school, Amity, Symbiosis, Campus law School, top tier college/ institute only

2. Candidate should be residing nearby so that distance is not an issue

3. Good communication skills

4. Preferably Immediate family members should not be a lawyer however candidates through reference are exception.

5. He/ she should have been in Law firm.

6. He /she should not have switched jobs frequently.

7. He/ she should not have worked with any Advocate/ Chambers. He/s he should have only Law firm experience. Exceptions can be made depending on the profile.

8. In-house counsel/ working with LPO / Independent practitioner not allowed
