Designation : Senior Manager (Logistics Back Office Operations & Delivery)

Base Location :Chennai (Mepz)

Travel : As needed (Newage locations)

Total Experience :10 – 15 Years

Reporting to : ITeS Head

Job Description:

We are looking for a senior manager with the proven experience of managing large scale operations, working with process managers, HR and other top management delivering on an exceptional customer experience, key business results, ensuring operational excellence and high employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end to end service delivery meeting and exceeding customer expectations and other agreed goals and KPIs (Quality & Timeliness) – Customer Delight & Referenceable customers.
  • Play an enabler role for Pre-sales and actively engage with leadership team towards respective BU goals.
  • Exceptional people and stakeholder management skills to have seamless business operations across geographies.
  • Challenge the status quo and innovate ideas to bring in process improvements and overall efficiency. Converge closely with the product teams and meet BU and organization goals.
  • Manage, inspire, motivate and develop people to get the best results and to build proper succession plans
  • Assessing the skills sets of people and work with management to cater to the training needs and help people to grow in the organisation
  • Responsible for establishing sound and transparent performance management system and drive the teams towards excellence
  • Create an engaging work environment alongside HR aiming at top notch talent retention to curb attrition.
  • Provides strategic advice and recommendations to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures within the specified functional area of focus
  • Understand budgeting framework of the company and work with your top leaders on the budgeting and P & L of the operations
  • Contribute & be an enabler towards the organisational growth goals. Exhibit curiosity towards automations, new technologies which can shift margin levers. Wear the efficiency cap on behalf of your customer and proactively think of areas to hand back cost savings and use that as a basis to win more business.
  • Understand and live the company’s values and be a role model to the people working under you.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelors/Masters’ degree
  • 10 -15 years of experience in managing Freight Forwarding operations & delivery at a large scale
  • Ability to manage and supervise people managers
  • Relevant experience in managing operations of Shipping, logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain domains
  • Exposure on current corporate culture, Logistics services, outsourcing dynamics
  • Able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Data driven decision making abilities and ability to work, analyse and interpret large scale data
  • Is detail- oriented and has effective communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to work in shifts ( General & UK Shift)
