Job Description & Role:

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager (Power Electronics) for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) team. You will design, develop conceptualize BESS solutions for residential and industrial requirements. You will also perform hardware and firmware integration of next-generation energy storage solutions.

• Experience in Research & Development, Product Design, Product Management, Testing & Validation of Large-scale Battery Energy Storage systems (BESS) for energy storage projects.
• Design and develop power conversion systems (PCS), Battery Management systems (BMS), Energy Management systems (EMS) and battery energy storage systems.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with grid-tied inverter standards, including UL1741 and IEEE1547
• Electrical system integration experience with knowledge in high voltage DC/AC systems for renewable integration.
• Knowledge in Li-Ion Battery Sizing & degradations calculations.
• Design and verify Li-ion battery system per performance and safety requirements.
• Experience with programs such as PSCAD, RSCAD, MATLAB, EMT, Ansys type of modelling tools.
• Delivering the BMS hardware platform solution for various Automotive & Industrial applications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of 10 or more experienced Power Electronics and Mechanical development engineers and technicians.
• Leadership skills to drive projects to market on time.
• Develop, lead and drive a collaborative team environment.
• Recruit, maintain and supervise all engineering and technical support personnel.
• Identify, improve and correct technical quality-related issues and provide "hands-on" technical leadership to achieve results.
• Effectively communicate status and performance metrics to upper-level management.
• Interface with SUPPLIERS AND OEMs on technical issues.
• Responsible for DFMEA and Safety goal synthesis for BMS, EMS and PCS
• Work with Software & Battery Module development teams to develop quick prototypes for New Pursuits.
• Root cause analysis of testing with Validation team in ensuring Robust Product.
• Supporting Battery Pack and Systems integration.
• Technical ownership of areas of the electronic hardware design, development and validation of automotive electronic system components for high voltage vehicle battery systems.
• Project SLD, BOM, Specifications, Drawings, Tender summary documentations.
• Product design as per respective IEC standard compliances
• Have knowledge of EMC regulations/standards (CISPR, IEC/EN, ISO etc.).
• Knowledge in enclosure design, panel Design & Busbar calculations and thermal Design
