Position Summary

This role is a key catalyst to support the India growth strategy of 3x growth in 3 years and set the foundation for a Billion Dollar company in 10 years. This role will be a key change agent by in 2 different ways : 1. Rooting all our business decisions back to the consumer by focusing on consumer insights ; 2. Leading the transformation to a digital first marketing organization by focusing on analytics and e commerce & digital tools.

Key Accountabilities

Build a “Best in class” future-ready insights & analytics function aligned with transformation agenda of the organisation

Putting together a vision and bringing it to life with established and well-defined processes, managing resources in the most effective way and creating capabilities/skills to sustain a competitive advantage to achieve disproportionate growth in the marketplace

Building functional capabilities by engaging with sector leads, global and regional insights leads and working with agency partners to drive thought-leadership by identifying new and better techniques to uncover insights – especially to succeed in an rapidly emerging digital-first ecosystem

Be the champion of consumer insights needs across the organization

Hire, coach and develop a team that is ready for embracing bigger challenges and roles

Nurture a “Consumer first” culture to take insights-centric and data-backed decisions

Drive an insights-driven strategic growth plan for discovering the right path for long-term growth

Help the organisation discover growth opportunities which are rooted on cultural consumer insights

Set up processes that will enable us to constantly stay connected with consumers to identify emerging consumer trends/needs

Create a network of agency partners & specialists to help deliver on the insights requirements.

Drive the insighting process in the digital world

  • Consumer journeys on e-commerce
  • Consumer segmentation & cohorts off platform
  • Lead Analytics driven insighting to understand consumer behaviour

Steer innovation and campaign development anchored in clear insights

  • Establish a mechanism for unearthing consumer insights for creating & testing the innovation pipeline.
  • Establish an agile and effective consumer engagement mechanism to create disruptive campaigns that help drive conversion across the purchase funnel

Design an effective measurement mechanism to monitor business and brand performance on critical KPIs

  • Leverage internal data/continuous monitoring tools to ensure that we are on track to deliver business goals
  • Identify new & innovative ways of testing our consumer concepts & ideas leveraging digital tools
  • Promote application of analytics to make the right investment decisions to maximize impact and ROI

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strategic and analytical skills: A broad-based strategic thinker with exceptional intellect who is skilled in analyzing/diagnosing brand and portfolio issues and development and injecting the consumer first thinking into the process.

  • Consumer rooted Innovation & Thinking : The candidate must be a champion for consumer thinking & have experience in product innovation and should be adept at leading insighing for the process for both short-term and long term innovation

  • Digital first marketing: The candidate must have had experience on working on brands on the digital platforms – understanding of the medium is essential.

  • Visible Leadership: Leading and evolving the marketing capability over time will require consultative and visible leadership. Partnering and working effectively across functional and within the organizational matrix is imperative. Opened minded and brings proven success in leading and influencing cross-functional initiatives.

  • At least 11 to 13 years of progressive experience in FMCG brand / consumer tech / digital agency consumer research & analytics ideally grounded with one or more industry leading marketing academies.

  • At least 3 to 4 years in a leadership position ( on either client or agency side)

  • Experience working collaboratively in Global-Regional-Local Matrix, and across multifunctional teams.

  • Have a track record to build strong team and organizational capability building
