Senior Physical Design Engineer

Our client is a startup founded by industry veterans with solid track record of technology innovation and business execution and deep domain expertise in multi-gigabit technologies. We are building advanced connectivity solutions for next generation autonomous driving systems featuring highly scalable, very high data-rate and secure end-to-end connectivity solutions to fuel the needs of AI processors and advanced sensors.

Job Description:

We are currently in search of passionate and quality-minded Physical Design engineers motivated towards building best-in-class ASICs. Key responsibilities of the role include participation across all phases of silicon implementation (synthesis, place and route, LVS/DRC, timing closure and equivalence checking) for our connectivity solutions while meeting the aggressive PPA targets and highest quality standards associated with automotive products.

Qualification:

  • Experience with Cadence or Synopsys P&R tools.
  • Experience on leading FinFET process technologies implementing low-power designs.
  • Experience taking blocks through floor-planning, placement, CTS, routing, DRC/LVS/DFM and EM/IR.
  • Experience on constraint development and validation.
  • Experience with timing closure and timing ECO generation.
  • Experience in logical equivalence checking and debug.
  • Strong expertise with Perl, Python and TCL scripting.
  • Experience working with source control tools, bug management tools and release management tools such as Jenkins, Git, Jira.
  • Experience with automotive product development and associated flows will be a big plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Bachelors in electrical engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of experience
