We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

Principal responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver data integration/data extraction solutions using IBM Datastage and Data Warehouse platforms like Teradata.
• Debug data quality issues by analyzing the upstream sources and provide guidance to data integration team resolutions.
• Work closely with support teams for code migrations and production support - Have a hands-on approach to solving problems; when required, be able to lead-by-example-type of person in developing snippets of the code that team can use and follow.
• Have deep knowledge of data architectures, ODSs, Data warehouses and methodologies.
  Own and operate Production ETL teams – streamline all production ETL jobs, SLAs and communication channels.
• Maintain and constantly refine the Production failures and escalations; be able to capture, articulate and create knowledge base of Production ETL functioning and potential points of failures.
  Have a thorough knowledge of working in Agile environments and adopt to multiple itineraries running in concurrency.
• Directs system enhancements and projects through the SDLC life cycle, Agile methodologies, defining project objectives, aligning project resources to achieve goals and ensuring established timelines are met.
• Drive the requirement gathering process for all system enhancements initiatives, establishes and enforces best practices for analysis.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of business operations and understands the technical scope and objectives of each project.
• Provides support to Business Partners in analyzing specific business initiatives and identifying the appropriate application system solution through integration of processes, systems and information to fulfill business objectives.
• Coordinate with Business Partners, Technical Analysts and Developers to identify and define specifications indicate areas of system impact and continuously communicate project status and needs.
• Manages change control processes, and ensures program/project communications.Negotiates project plans, time frames, and trade-off with Business Partners, and apprises management of impact to project.

Qualifications

Qualification:Post Graduation/Graduation in Computer science and IT related field .

Requirements

• Strong Data Warehousing experience specializing in RDBMS, ETL Concepts, Strategy.
• Past project experience with Data integration technologies preferably Datastage with RDBMS like Teradata or similar. Demonstrating a strong expertise in similar ETL tools like Informatica will be considered.
• Candidates must have outstanding analytical and problem solving skills and a good grasp of the technical side of business intelligence
• Identify, interpret and document requirements for new or altered systems, by working closely with various departments
• Experience preparing detailed specifications that describe input, output, and logical operation
• Experience preparing Change Requests/GSDs to support the implementation process
• Able to review design to ensure it meets the criteria and work is of an acceptable quality
• Capable of undertaking technical investigations and program design on new and existing applications as required
