Roles and Responsibilities
The role holder will report to Section Manager – Services Engineering India at GEA, JFWTC, Bangalore. In addition, they will interface with organizations such as the Engineering, MRO, Supply Chain, CEO & Services organization with Aviation and our customers around the world.
- Delivery of timely and accurate fleet management solutions through physics based analytics , i.e. analysis / evaluation of Projects given operational severity, supporting root cause investigations, and novel ways to predict and limit future occurrences that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
- Advance state of art on to make Analytics as differentiating technology for the business and for our customers by constantly improving CDM/DRM/Forecasting/Detection process and tools.
- Deliver in a timely manner, and accurately on GE90 fleet model to support business decisions related to Customized Service Agreements
- Apply creative solutions, experienced judgment, or machine learning methodology to solve TOW/SV cost related complex problems critical to the company
- Provide leadership and technical mentoring/guidance/direction to the team for specific programs / projects to meet objectives in a cross functional environment
- Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved
- Partner with Section Manager and global stakeholders in building and preparing the team for next-level business challenges
- Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behaviour with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks complying with engineering and agency policies and procedures
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate.
- Drive compliance and quality culture within the organization.
- Own HR Processes (G&Os, Priorities Setting and Review, Insights/Feedback, Checkpoints, Mid-Year discussion, Year End Summary) for the team and facilitate career growth through coaching and career guidance.
- Partner with Section Manager and HR for People Reviews, Salary Planning, Promotions and other HR processes.
- Recruit, develop, and continually assess leadership and support personnel within the Services Engineering Organization. Stay ahead of ’the curve’ with regard to building a talent pipeline in anticipation of future staffing and recruiting requirements.
- Drive change by demonstrating clear thinking, articulate roles & responsibilities, manage hand-offs between different organizations.
Required Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Preferably, Master’s Degree/Ph.D in Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo Machinery Engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services, analytics)
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership role
- Experience or interests in applying statistical tools and big data analysis to Process Improvements and Quality projects
- Understanding of Services business model and business acumen
- Strong engineering problem solving capabilities
- Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
- Must be a superior communicator; viewed as direct and transparent. Demonstrates high energy, enthusiasm, persistence and the unique ability to maintain an uncompromising balance with thoroughness and a quick-to-action style of execution.
- Must possess the ultimate level of professionalism in demeanour and presentation to include excellence in questioning, listening, and influencing.
- Demonstrates a collaborative method of interacting with matrix partners and gains acceptance and support on issues critical to the success of the business.
- Navigates ambiguity while naturally challenging the normal paradigms of doing business in a creative, healthy and inventive way. Balances risk/reward with an investment mentality.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required

- Familiarity with aircraft flight operations and experience working with shop/customers
