Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure continuous supply of utilities in required quality and quantity.
  • Coordinate with production departments to utilize the utilities to achieve the required production target without failure.
  • Planning preventive /Predictive maintenance plan / work schedule of department.
  • Determine and list out spares and inventory for critical equipment
  • Attending daily review meeting with his supervisor/ engineers
  • Planning for job work from contractors and vendors.
  • Recommending standardization of inventory for easy procurement and replacement.
  • To review and approve inventory levels of spare parts for critical machinery /equipment utilities area.
  • Inward goods inspection and approval
  • Evaluation of machine performance and recommend actions
  • Identifying critical machines and prepare plan to monitor performance for 100% effectiveness.
  • To brainstorm with colleagues for identifying the reasons for repetitive failure and suggest improvements.
  • To ensure availability of the spares as per inventory levels.
  • To ensure the maintenance jobs are undertaken in line with work permit system
  • To ensure the inventory and disposal of hazardous waste like waste oil, sludge is maintained as per Govt regulations
  • Informing of any changes made in process lines for effective food safety
  • management system, to food safety team leader e.g. new installations modification of
  • lines,
  • To coordinate with safety department to make and follow a check/test schedule for all
  • safety appliances, being used for maintenance work like PPE, safety belt, mask, acid apron, fire system etc.
  • Ensure compliance of statutory IBR and safety regulations.
  • To review and approve inventory levels of spare parts for critical machinery/Equipment.

Authorities:

  • Review & Monitor utility objectives in their work area.
  • Recommend for procurement of spares.
  • Authorize to draw the material from stores.
  • Gate pass approval (RGP).
  • Approval of incoming spares & consumables.
  • To modify the system for better efficiency of equipment operation.

Accountability:

  • To meet the safety & environment requirement as per standard.
  • To minimize the breakdown of the utility equipment.
  • To control the budget of the Department.
  • To control the inventory in the store.
  • To ensure the utility supply stability for plant.

Qualification:

Education: B. Tech - Mechanical

Experience: 10-12 years in Operations and Maintenance
