Job Purpose

The Senior Application Consultant/Engineer is a key role in contributing to the growth of business within the region and globally. As part of the Engineering data content Team, the role provides technical skills and advise, and product background, to ensure, quality, and scope requirements are met.
The job holder is accountable for delivery of professional services to customers, either internally or externally, and may be required to travel at short notice as a representative of the company wherever necessary to deliver support / services.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for executing tasks and producing deliverables as outlined in the EDC Project Plan developed by Project Management team.
  • Creates 1D(Engineering)2D(P&ID/PFD) and/or 3D(Catalogues/Modelling) AVEVA product content along with the ability to do the quality check of the Engineering content created.
  • Use the existing knowledge and technical skills & further develop technical skills within the primary domain and into other AVEVA product areas to assist in the growth of the team.
  • Works with members of the technical team and technical managers to help develop scopes of work, able to estimate the effort required and assist is preparing proposal for Engineering content creation.
  • Provides industry specific knowledge and product skills to aid other members of the project team. and able to conduct formal trainings or POC for the Customers or team members.
  • Design, maintain and record technical or training documents required as part of the project deliverables with level of clarity and accuracy.
Important Working Relationships
  • Sales: Work with the sales team in identifying opportunities where specific content creation may be a differentiator.
  • Technical: Work within a dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal and technical skills to maximize the team’s efficiency. Develop a close and effective working relationship with Training & Product Support (TPS), R&D and Project Management team.
  • Customers: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

The individual will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Mining, Electrical & Instrumentation) discipline.
  • Proven 2 year or more experience of AVEVA products or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of different international standard (ASME, ANSI, ISO, PIP, DIN, PSK etc)
  • Knowledge of Data-Integration/Handover standards (ISO15926, EPISTLE, CFIHOS etc)
  • Knowledge of equipment used in Oil & Gas, Power and Mining industry
  • Proven 5+ years of work experience & extensive knowledge of engineering, design, procurement or construction within a relevant industry (e.g. Plant, Marine, or Steel Fabrication) from either an owner-operator, an engineering contractor or consultant background.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve problems guide the team for the same.
  • Good problem-solving and people skills.
  • The ability to manage and handle multiple commitments simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (potentially worldwide) to perform consultancy tasks.
  • Should be able to work in time-based project with fixed scope and delivery schedule.
  • Ability to prepare different documents of high standard for project-based requirement.
  • Should have a good communication and MS Office skills.
  • Proven knowledge of PML and/or C# would be an advantage.
