Senior Engineer - EM simulation - E Mobility

Profile:

  • Mtech/ME/MS in Electrical Engineeringwith relevant course work
  • Simulation engineer 3+ years of experience in electric machine modelling, design, analysis and manufacturing
  • Sound knowledgeable in electric vehicle architecture and modelling process
  • Expert level skills with electromagnetic analysis tools such as ANSYS/Maxwell, MOTORCAD, JMAG, FLUX
  • Expert knowledge in simulation methods of various types of electric machines and their dynamic modelling
  • Experience in the design and analysis of high torque & power density IPM/PM, switched reluctance motors and induction motors
  • Strong understanding of validating motor electromagnetic and thermal designs including performance and durability
  • Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for data analysis
  • Knowledge in power electronics hardware and motor control algorithms
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining efficient and accurate
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Business fluent English

Tasks:

  • Responsible for electromagnetic analysis, modelling and design of electric machines for advanced traction motors of specific vehicle performance targets
  • Through accurate modelling and simulation, perform sizing and trade-off study of motor system and thermal management system
  • Perform motor electromagnetic and thermal design optimization
  • Develop, verify, and optimize modelling tools and design process to predict and optimize electric machine performance
  • Documentation of simulation results (reports) incl. assessment and suggestions for optimizations
  • Support structural and mechanical analysis of motor systems including NVH and durability
  • Support powertrain system integration and vehicle control integration
  • Study, invent, and implement new electric machine technology
