Qualifications

  • Advanced graduate degree with an excellent academic record
  • 4+ years of work experience and proven expertise in one or more functions related to driving or program managing central growth, strategy, digital transformation projects in large pharma companies and/or experience in designing a marketing strategy (including digital marketing) for large pharma brands or therapies
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local language

Who You’ll Work With

You will be based in our Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai or Delhi office as part of the commercials function within the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products practice in India.
You’ll work closely with our client project teams, providing end-to-end support to ensure the clients are able to deliver and sustain the full benefits of McKinsey’s recommended change in their business. In addition to working directly with clients, you will also work with colleagues in our worldwide Pharma & Commercials practice to develop and refine our approaches while expanding your own knowledge and skills.

What You’ll Do

You will help clients build capabilities in delivery and execution, both during an active project and continuing after our consultants have shared their recommendations.
Within the Pharma practice, you will serve top-tier pharmaceuticals, biotech and medical products clients on a broad range of topics like growth strategy, digital transformation, sales acceleration. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, along with a team of consultants and experts, you will work to develop and implement commercial and growth strategies to solve our clients’ most critical problems. As part of the pharma - commercials team, you’ll focus on sustaining long-term improvement by building their internal capabilities, providing tailored training programs for all organizational levels. You will engage at a deep level across our clients’ businesses, working in small McKinsey teams, but often working with many clients, to build the capabilities, systems and processes needed to deliver bottom-line results with an aim to ensure those results will be sustained.
