Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Help to deliver a future-ready and industry leading approach to the practice of Associate Engagement at Novartis and support the fully integrated and flexible operating model by being a vital part of our dynamic team. Work within Associate Engagement and the respective Business Partners and virtual teams, developing and implementing prioritized communications plans and activities on behalf of the business function/unit/program to the enterprise.
  • Develop and manage the internal communications calendar for the function/unit/program bringing fresh communication solutions to support the overall Novartis business strategy and business goals. Acting as senior advisor and serve as communications expert working collaboratively with the relevant virtual teams to develop, implement and deliver our agreed communication programs/campaigns/activities.
  • Develop and measure effective metrics/KPIs to track communication impact and deliver the best business outcomes. Ensure audience-led approach and constantly consider how we enrich their experience and improve the value of what we communicate. Be inspired, curious, and creative to help us transform to a continuous improvement culture, fueled by innovation so we excite the best associate experience every day.
  • For the next 12-18 months, your immediate responsibility will be to work within Associate Engagement and with Business Partners across enterprise functions to deliver on comms objectives. Provide advice and support, and act as communication expert to the Operations and Enterprise teams on how to deliver impactful and customer-centric communication programs / campaigns / activities to the enterprise.
  • In collaboration with the virtual team and function/unit/program take responsibility to support: Engagement of Novartis associates in the development and global rollout of identified products and services. Partner with Operations, P&O, Crisis/ERC to ensure clear and consistent messaging to support the global teams and associates.
  • Provide Change Communications support, demonstrating high skills in change management, persevering to overcome issues, balance risks and build trust among stakeholders. Curate creative engagement activities, unearth success stories, promote services/achievements, manage key events/conferences as appropriate. Work closely with the channel management team to ensure appropriate and timely publishing

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years in roles delivering high impact communication strategies and plans within a global organization.
  • Courageous, with an ability to challenge and influence across all levels of the organization. Expert at stakeholder management and ability to lead and influence in a highly matrixed organization and across geographical boundaries.
  • Ability to work in agile team settings, supporting the teams and collectively driving for collective results, resilience. Proven track record in managing programs/restructuring and/or change comms initiatives.
  • Best in class expert communications partnering. Excellent understanding of business processes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and is comfortable asking for help when things get crazy.

Desirable:

  • University qualification in relevant area (strategic communications, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement) or relevant professional qualification.
  • Expert English speaker (read/ write/ speak). Other languages helpful but not essential
