About the Role

The Productivity Apps team is responsible for key agent web apps in the suite of Compass real estate tools. The mission for this team is to provide our customers with timely, actionable information, from home listing updates to the health of their business. Working on the Productivity Apps team will include a wide range of experiences, including modernizing high-traffic legacy apps and building new apps that elegantly solve agent problems. You will be instrumental in innovating and standardizing our agent platform and frontend framework, making core decisions on information architecture and information display, and ensuring that our customers are presented with data in an understandable and actionable way.

Build, develop and scale our platform that powers real estate agents, buyers and sellers

Be a domain expert on real estate technology and products and an empathetic partner to our customers

Inspire, recruit and mentor your engineering colleagues

What We Look For:
8+ years of software engineering experience, BS in CS or EE or equivalent, but we are hiring at all levels.

Experience in designing and developing web applications. Experience with building products throughout their life cycles, from idea conception to product release and maintenance

Experience with a modern backend language such as Go and Java.

Familiarity with containerization, microservices architecture, continuous integration and delivery. Knowledge of AWS is desirable.

Understanding of Javascript and web frameworks such as React is preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across geographies.

Operate in a scalable engineering culture that leverages modern principles of decoupled systems and automated CI/CD/testing/monitoring to drive efficiencies

Work closely with Product, Design, User research and product marketing
