We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer

Principal Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering Functional Testing
• Manage day-to-day activities of the test pod. (Test Pod might also include automation specialist).
• Liaising with Business Analyst, Product Owner to understand the business importance of delivering the change. Be able to confidently counter requirements & proposed solution.
• Undertake risk assessment on change requirements in collaboration with business & Engineering teams.
• Ensuring the right things are being tested by ensuring the coverage sufficiently covers the risk areas identified.
• Participate in Sprint planning sessions & be able to provide sequencing for user story development to enable Test progress within the sprint

Requirements

• Participate in Sprint planning sessions & be able to provide sequencing for user story development to enable Test progress within the sprint
• Provide an informed view into test estimation activity, underpinned by knowledge of the application, domain and testing experience.
• Perform requirement Analysis; Test Scenarios, Scripts Design; Review and Rework
• Defect Triage Help direct and prioritize pretriage within testing team, and as required, Triage within the defect management process.
• Conduct and review impact assessment against new and or incremental change.
• To conduct static reviews of Business requirements and design documents.
• To be able to address queries from UAT team & perform pretriage for UAT defects.
• Perform Test Execution for manual test cases.
• Document & execute E2E test execution p16.Ensuring various regression packs are designed in sync with the releases and contribute to maintenance of those regression pack.
• Regression packs maintenance.
• Degree or similar educated
• ISEB/ISTQB qualified (foundation as a minimum)
• Understanding of Automated test framework
• 2+ years of core payments experience required. Open Banking experience is +
• Ability to self-manage & efficiently priorities activities in hand with minimum supervision
• Working Experience required for Atlassian JIRA, Postman tool.
• Experience of working with distributed (onshore/ offshore) teams.
• Should have past experience of working on Payments systems & strong Payments domain knowledge (knowledge for at least for 1 region or country preferred)
• Working knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium required
• Be able to efficiently articulate business flows with Product owner & Business analyst.
• Personality: Proactive and flexible
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
