Roles and Responsibilities:


Department: Plant Engineering

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience: 5-12 years of experience in Machine shop

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent from a college or university in Production/Mechanical

Purpose of Role:The Purpose of the role is to ensure production of parts with proper planning and ensuring availability of all required resources for machines and timely feeding of parts to Assembly.


Responsibility:

  • Responsible to ensure proper shift planning as per loading plan.
  • Responsible for preparation of Daily Production report, absenteeism report, tool breakage & machine breakdown communication.
  • Responsible to ensure availability of all resources on machine before job is loaded e.g. Operator, SOP’S, Operation List, Quality check sheet, Program, Tools etc.
  • Responsible to supervise daily production to improve Productivity of Machine shop.
  • Responsible to raise Tools, gauges, instruments & consumables requirement in machine shop and follow up with I.E. Engineer.
  • Responsible to ensuring availability, proper up keeping & usage of lifting accessories like slings, ropes, clamps etc.
  • Responsible for updating GEMBA board, conducting QRQC & preparation of SOP’s or check sheets.
  • Responsible for manpower handling during shift to minimize ’’no operator’’ on machines.
  • Responsible for safety of all during shifts (usage of PPE’s, material handling safety etc.) & immediate action in case of contingency.
  • Responsible for maintaining discipline, Housekeeping & 5S in Machine shop.
  • Responsible to guide and supervise the machine operators and provide them technical support.
  • Responsible for problem solving related to Production activity like Programming, tooling, Maintenance etc. and calling concerned person if required
  • Responsible to finish components dispatch to Assembly.
  • Responsible to motivate operators for Kaizen in shop & up load reports in system.
