Amazon success lies in its capability to deliver packages in time. Powering this capability is Amazon’s core transportation technology (CTT) . CTT is tasked with greater challenges with ever increasing scope, like the new one-day shipping initiative, and the scale of Amazon. CTT is currently designing and developing systems that will usher in new wave of expansion for Amazon logistics. These systems needs to work at unprecedented scale and question the fundamentals of computing to perform latency sensitive operations. We are looking for a hands on Software development engineers who will bring their expertise in building these highly visible, planet-scale systems.

Your solutions will impact our customers directly! This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and to work on disparate and overlapping tasks, will define your success. You will excel in this job if you have an innate urge to seek simple solutions for complex problems.

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, takes pride in simplifying complex real time problems, challenges existing notions and is willing to experiment and propose best solutions for the problem at hand.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Bachelor or Master in computer science or relevent industry experience
  • Atleast 4 years of Solid professional experience in software development
  • Programming expertise in Java and frameworks such as JEE/Spring/Hibernate
  • Advocate for solutions to technical challenges, articulating schedule/risk/quality trade-offs
  • Demonstrated ability to go the extra mile to do things right and fast
  • Produce quality, innovative, debuggable, testable and maintainable code
  • Participate in design and architecture sessions with other senior technical leads
  • Learn new things, fail fast, and explore new coding territory
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly
  • Experience in communicating with business teams, other development teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
  • Knowledge of AWS/Cloud technologies
