We are looking for an innovative procurement manager to lead our procurement team. You will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. As a Senior Procurement Manager in the manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement and sourcing functions to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for the manufacturing operations. This position involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing the supply chain, and driving overall procurement excellence. The Senior Procurement Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, finance, and logistics, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company’s objectives, including quality improvement, and supplier performance.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, market trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Establish and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish supplier agreements to ensure the availability of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
• Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to leverage partnerships, drive innovation, and manage risks effectively.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement expertise and support throughout the sourcing and purchasing process.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, purchase orders, bid evaluations, and supplier selection.
• Implement cost-effective procurement strategies, such as volume discounts, supplier consolidation, and inventory management, to optimize costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
• Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components, minimizing supply chain disruptions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the supply chain, identifying areas for efficiency gains, cost reductions, and risk mitigation.
• Monitor and analyze key procurement metrics, such as supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory levels, to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee the contract management process, including contract negotiation, review, and execution, to ensure legal and commercial compliance.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to address contractual and financial risks, terms, and conditions.
• Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence and mitigate potential risks.
• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance individual and team capabilities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Must have 10 to 15 yrs. experience in manufacturing like Fabrications and metals industry
• Must have experience on India Mart and Alibaba
• Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
