Senior Software Engineer – DevOps

We are looking for a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer for our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Software division. As Senior SRE, you will be responsible for the health, observability, and maintainability of our production environment as well as the associated auxiliary components that drive our day to day business. An ideal candidate will have a background in cloud native technologies plus system, network, and storage administration, and programming.

A Day in the Life


  • Ensuring the environments are up and running by monitoring availability and performance through a holistic view of system health.
  • Identify and utilize Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives to meet the availability and latency objectives and guide incremental improvements.
  • Write, test, and review code.
  • Gather and analyze metrics from both operating system and application to assist in finding issues and do a root cause analysis for highly impactful incidents.
  • Work closely with the product owner and scrum master to complete sprint planning, actively participate in scrum ceremonies and deliver results each sprint.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A.in Computer Engineering/Science or technically related field of study.
  • Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience as Site Reliability Engineer or equivalent.
  • Specialized Knowledge Required:
  • Cloud knowledge on AWS and/or Azure DevOps is highly desired.
  • Monitoring/Observability stack experience such as AppDynamics, Data Dog, Prometheus.
  • Proficient skills in using logging aggregation solutions like ELK.
  • Adept of Kubernetes/Docker/Istio and micro-services.
  • Proficient skills in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Depth of experience in administration of Windows and Linux, storage, and networking.
  • Programming/testing expertise, including Python and/or PowerShell.

Nice to Have:

  • A desire to automate everything. Automation should be a core focus of your mindset and the elimination of repetitive tasks should be a constant desire in the role.
  • A mindset of repeatability, testability, observability, and reversibility in all you do.
  • Proactive approach to Incident and Change Management.
