Staff Engineer, SSD Product Validation

Location : Hyderabad .

This position is a permanent position with our client (US Based Semiconductor Product Company with revenue more than 30 Billion USD)

We are looking for a SSD Validation Engineer to join our SSD Validation Engineering team. The SSD system Validation Engineering team works as an integral part of our client & enterprise SSD validation process, ensuring our products are on time to market and resilient in the field.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Responsible for the development of new test scripts, maintenance of existing test scripts and continually improving SSD validation test coverage

Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods

  • Design and develop data analysis tools to expand test coverage and failure prediction
  • Design and develop data base for test data storage and analysis
  • Analyzing customer issues with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities
  • Use your strong scripting language skills for automating tests and shortening qualification cycles
  • Document functionality of test scripts using a standard document template.
  • Ability to configure and run customer systems
  • Enhance, develop, and execute test scripts on host systems to uncover drive hardware and firmware issues with SSDs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years in SSD/HDD design, development or validation
  • Experience writing automated tests for storage devices
  • C and/or Python programming skills to write automation testing code.
  • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and debugging experience of firmware
  • Ability to understand and debug interface protocols (SATA, SAS, NVME)

Understanding of Windows and UNIX / Linux server storage environments
