Job Description Summary Responsible for product management and operations working lock-in step with business stakeholders to create a clear strategic direction for build needs for products in Material Management Analytics area. You will work with the team and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of a products features and functionality. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners and Developers. . You will be responsible for strengthening the foundation of our data products in compliance with regulative requirements, standards and quality. You will be responsible for leading, executing and operationalization of world class data driven methods and capabilities to support business outcomes.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own the roadmap and execution to strengthen the foundation and standardization of our data products, reduce technology debt and improve the quality to drive long term stability and reduce redundancy Demonstrates excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrate functional knowledge and skills in problem decomposition and ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications,
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Interacts with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
  • Routinely collaborates with UX in design decisions. Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.
  • Owns the releases and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
  • Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
  • Demonstrates strategic level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
  • Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit.
  • Partners with Development Leadership/Service Owners to ensure healthy development process.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Expert in Agile Methodology.
  • Cooperate with and manage external vendors as required;
  • Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary
  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
  • Effectively communicate (i.e. status, issues, and escalations) to leadership and other various levels of the organization
  • Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
  • Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Data Management, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics
  • A minimum of 6 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands on experience working with database technologies, including GPDB, Oracle, SAP, SQL / NoSQL platforms
  • Hands on experience with visualization applications such as Tableau
  • Familiarity with writing SQL queries and working with databases
  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles
  • Prior experience/role in direct interactions with customer; Agile development, FastWorks and/or Lean experience, Scrum master certified;
  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills
  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
  • Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment


Leadership:

  • Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.
  • Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making.
  • Understands when change is needed. Participates in technical strategy planning.
  • Ability to work with scrum team with architects, data engineers and visualization developers; Drives the team effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ability to communicate analytical results in forms that resonate with the business collaborators, highlighting actionable insights
  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
  • PMP, ScrumMaster or related Project Management certifications
