About the Role

  • To lead the Technical Procurement function at Baramati Plant, to ensure the issuance of requests for quotation, management of purchase requests and conduct the negotiation and management of purchase orders,
  • Technical Group category managers in order to meet the needs of technical and technology at the lowest cost, highest quality and service and in accordance with established timelines. Ensure the management and improvement of the supplier base of expertise.
Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the technical definition of all technical drawing , specification and various purchased, requires bids in response to purchase requests, proposing alternatives to purchasing qualified and reliable, analyzes, evaluates and aligns with the technical bids received, in order to obtain the best deals from the market, while respecting the times and maximizing the quality of supply.
  • Collaborate with the choice of supplier, contracts and defines the contents of the purchase, making the negotiation, in compliance with the specifications defined specifications, ensuring the competitiveness / competition in order to meet the needs of technical and technology at the lowest cost, highest quality and service and in accordance with established timelines.
  • Monitor the conduct of trade, logistics, manufacturing suppliers and sound economic and financial, to ensure the reliability of supplies and services, under the aspect of quality (service, technology development on time and ,..), costs and works to keep your database for classification and evaluation of suppliers.
  • Cooperates with the preparation of the annual budget of purchasing with help of Central Purchasing Manager and ensures its implementation for the provision of expertise, updates the statistics of spending for the area of competence, in order to comply with the objectives set time, quality, service and cost.
  • Promotes Local scouting activity, aimed at getting more competitive the portfolio of Local suppliers and identifying potential opportunities at a Group level (to be then developed with Central Category Managers).
  • Ensure customer satisfaction to their respective technical areas and industrial applications.
  • Should have the knowledge of general financial audit requirements and comply with them.
  • Operate in synergies with colleagues and technical local and international buyers in order to optimize the purchasing processes, providing and acquiring all the necessary elements for an optimal trade and industrial perspective of maximizing the results.
  • Knowledge of the supplier base for the class of its competence He must be worked in WEST INDIA.
  • Bachelor s in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 yrs of experience in technical purchasing from FMCG/Food/Pharmaceutical/ Engineering industries including MRO related purchases.
  • Good Knowledge of market dynamics and trends in his area of responsibility.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English language.
