• Works in collaboration with the engineering team, product management, and marketing to understand the needs of the customer and develops workable test solutions to enable user-friendly product design.

• In conjunction with the Software Engineering Manager, establish clear engineering project milestones and deadlines, quality milestones, and drive to meet those objectives.
• Participate in cross-engineering project teams and with delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the expectations of customers.
• Develops tests to represent customer environments and drive exploratory tests to raise product quality.
• Complies with internal and external standards.
• Be a resource to engineers, product management, and DevOps teams in areas of test development and testing frameworks.
• Carries out other duties as assigned as business needs require.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing and executing testing on complex software systems.
• Demonstrate testing experience of hardware, embedded systems, or device driver development.
• Ability to design and develop tests that yield deterministic and predictable outcomes.
• Experience in developing tests across various test frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG)
• Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. Python, C++, C, Java).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or SVN.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools for design documentation, revision control, and issue tracking.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team member to solve problems and complete tasks creatively and cooperatively.
• Ability to take initiative and carry out project tasks with minimal supervision.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) experience.
• Experience with testing industrial products
• Strive to have 80+% test cases automated.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies using Jira or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge or experience with DCS or PLC programming
