Job Title : L2 Support EngineerLocation : Tumkur, KABusiness Unit/Department : Information TechnologyReporting to : Manager - ITNumber of Position : 01Status : FULL TIMEGeneral DescriptionUnder indirect supervision, installs, maintains, tests, and repairs IT systems and networks. Utilizes intermediate technical knowledge to implement and support IT initiatives. Provides technical support and resolves problems of a moderately complex nature. Assists users/departments in implementing requests or proposals and in determining information systems needs assessments. Supervise or provide functional direction to employees.Job ResponsibilitiesL2 Support Engineer is responsible for :
  • Troubleshooting all network and application issues and provide recommendations to ensure better user services
  • Experience in handling remote support tools
  • Documentation & MIS reporting
  • Compliance management and escalate issues if required
  • Knowledge on Windows Server / Linux
  • Knowledge on Monitoring Tools
  • Experience in VMware, Storage, Backup & WAN
  • Monitoring of logs and alerts
  • Configuring Monitoring nodes and thresholds
  • Configuring system state backups
  • Monitoring Backup jobs
  • Reporting
  • Handling Server infra structure
  • Support All Network Related issues
  • Support all Storage issues
  • Vendor Follow-up Related to all Support and AMC Related to IT Infra
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree with 5 to 7 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to provide functional direction to other technical support staff and employees.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve computer problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or mainframe applications and systems.
