Job Title : Manager- Merchandising

Role Introduction:

Being a Manager Merchandiser your role is to develop and execute our Product, Pricing and Profitability strategy and deliver Robust Brand, Product Strategy, Sharp and Competitive Merchandising Plans with top line and bottom line growth. Your direct responsibilities for all day-to-day operations and analytics associated with running International Brands management with principles with Sales and Category across all channels and partners of brand. You must have an in-depth understanding of Products, Pricing and competitive mapping for respective brands and categories and will serve as primary point of contact for all Product and Merchandising deliverables. You need to strategize, drive and execute to bring Core Merchandising and Product Strategy to life with Sales Growth and Profitability targets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Researching and developing Brand merchandising opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying Product Trends, Business potential, market trends, and integrating into product and category strategy
  • Gathering, analyzing market data and trends.
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency. Analyzing budgets, preparing annual budget plan, Tracking and delivering the budgets via Sales teams.
  • Representing the Brand in all negotiations with Principles and channel partners (if required).
  • Build Brand Wise Business Plans and Forecast management.
  • Manage Brand Assortment, Supply Chain and Shelf Life Management.
  • Build Allocation plans of inventory to channel partners to meet Channel Business, revenue targets and sell through rates from EBO, MBO, Offline and Online Chanel Partners.
  • Analysis of Sales forecast, Performance and relevant financials/ reports on product sales.
  • Manage and maintain OTB and MOH based on buying and sales plan.
  • Creation of PO and coordinating with the Brand and local team for importing and ensuring all regulatory guidelines are met w.r.t clearance of the shipment.
  • Compliance and regulatory requirement for Brand and products
  • Competitor and customer insights analysis
  • Sales, Liquidation and BBE Management.
  • Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Work closely with the inventory manager and team for inventory management, analysis and timely inventory action.
  • Pricing, Discount and Margin Management and protection to deliver Brand Strategy, Competitive Pricing and bottom line performance.


Forecasting and Import

  • Prepare and maintain the Brand 12-18 month forward forecast file as per Brand requirement and in line with Brand annual budget
  • Prepare and submit the monthly order files as per Brand schedule.
  • Ensure Top Selling products availability in the warehouse and retail store to avoid sales loss
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Retail team for the upcoming window and new launch requirements
  • Sales analysis of Current category and product trends and prepare future forecast.
  • Co-ordinate with Brands office for order confirmation and shipment schedules.
  • Maintain FOB and Retail price Master. Coordinate all retail pricing and approval.
  • Shipment coordination with Brand, reconciliation of the actual invoices versus confirmed order
  • Product Registration and Documentation coordination as required by Import Team.
  • PO and GRN coordination with Import and warehouse team
  • Maintain Import Label files as per compliance requirement and coordinate with compliance and regulatory team on the same.
  • PO, Label planning and procurement for each shipment.
  • Batch data and coordination at time of Import and GRN
  • Shipment GRN and Discrepancy handling with Warehouse and APAC.
  • Weekly and Monthly reports.


Stock Management/Merchandising

  • Effective Stock management across all merchandise groups and products to maximize sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Ensure ABC analysis by Product and maintain the required week stock cover as per ABC analysis.
  • Master Data and Price Management with HOB team, IT and Finance.
  • Coordinate with core brands office for any Master related requirements.
  • Follow up with the stores for the timely submission of all information required to prepare various reports.
  • Weekly and Monthly reports.


Store Supply Chain Management

  • Prepare weekly stock Replenishments for store supplies. Stock requirements to be fulfilled as per strict display quantity, base stock quantities and stock requirement per sku, per store.
  • Stock plan as per Monthly event plan and focus product requirement.
  • Sampling allocation and supplies to stores.
  • Coordinating with Logistics for delivery in store.
  • Maintain Batch reports and circulate MIS for close to expiry products at stores and warehouse.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Retail team for quick liquidation and FIFO for close to expiry products.
  • Recalling of the Products related to expired and damaged products after Finance approval
  • Sending regular updates to the stores on OOS stocks and its future availability status.
  • Weekly and Monthly reports.
