Job Summary:

The Vice President - Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s Bid Operations Division.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on Bid Management and support systems.
  • Liaise with other OEMs, Suppliers, Third Party Agencies & User departments to carry out the operational objectives.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes.
  • Establishes and implements bid operations-related policies, practices & standards to ensure effective and consistent execution with a high success rate.
  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for project Bids.
  • Presents periodic team performance reports and bid metrics to the Managing Director for review and planning.

§ Respond to all inbound/outbound official correspondence from internal/external stake holders

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • B E/ B TECH /M Tech preferred
  • Minimum of 8 -10 years of Administrative/Management Experience in a commissioned rank of the Indian Navy is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project Management Software (desired)
  • Experience in handling Project/bid related technical queries from the user department/TPI/OEM
