Job Description:

We are searching for a meticulous Warehouse and Inventory controller to manage the inventory for our company. In this role, you will be required to coordinate orders and deliveries, perform regular inventory audits and analyses, and forecast the supply and demand requirements to ensure consistent stock levels.

To ensure success as an Warehouse inventory controller, you should be highly organized and have detailed knowledge of supply chain management software and practices. A top-notch inventory controller will be able to accurately forecast inventory requirements and possess excellent logistical abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
  • Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfilment
  • Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
  • Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
  • Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed
  • Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy with FIFO
  • Maintain the management of supplier return packaging
  • Record and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant Materials Analyst
  • Monitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages
  • Monitor GRN & DN should enter in Tally each and every day

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices.
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of stock purchases.
  • Coordinating the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing.
  • Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability.
  • Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS).
  • Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
  • Generating purchase and pricing reports, supply chain analysis, and inventory management systems.
  • Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintaining and updating records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records.

Educational Qualification:

MBA in Operations Management or Logistics Management.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in retail, warehousing, logistics or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management software
  • Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as ABC analysis and cycle counting.
