Your responsibilities include but not limited to :
  • This is a global role responsible for the development, maintenance and adherence to data security protocols and controls which permit accessibility to and ensure integrity of the Workday HCM system at Novartis. This role acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert (’SME’) on Workday HCM security during the HCM Program and post Go-Live when operational
  • In close partnership with the Systems Implementation (’SI’) partner and relevant Functional or Technical Leads on the project team, this role creates and maintains the Workday security design for configurations, workflows, reports, integrations, tenants.
  • Partners with the relevant Novartis resources (Data Governance/Council & Data Analytics COE) to develop the future state User Access Management for Production and non-Production tenants and creates the necessary documentation.
  • Partners with the relevant security architects and technical resources within Novartis to seek and ensure alignment on Workday security design particularly but not limited to integrations, tenant access, etc.
  • Asses and establish required security groups, based on Operating Model, Roles and Responsibilities to ensure access to data is provided to only to users with a need to know
  • Responsible for ensuring the new Cloud HCM suit adheres to Novartis security standards
  • Analyzes any new security requirements or changes required, identifies impact of changes, performs and test security changes.
  • Partners with relevant Novartis and partner resources to enable the following while performing the required Workday tasks:
o SSO configuration
o Multi-factor authentication
o Mobile Access
o Manages ISU (Integration System User) creation and permissions
o Ensures that Workday generated keys and certificates are made available for integration partners and that certificates conform to standards
o Processes access requests to the tenants and supports tenant management strategy

Minimum requirements

  • Knowledge of Novartis complex security controls and guideline.
  • Hands-on experience on HCM security management.
  • Ideally 3+ years hands-on experience on Workday security configuration e.g. data domains; security groups; security roles including role based, user based, segmented and intersecting security roles; migration of security configurations.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience in configuring custom security in Workday.
  • 2+ years of experience in Workday system administration e.g. tenant management, version releases, regression testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant field preferred or equivalent experience
