1) About the team and role:

The Embedded Systems Team develops the first layers of ADAS software on multiple platforms. Senior Staff Software Engineers are unique technical experts, responsible for shaping strategic initiatives. As our business continues to scale rapidly, building a stable, reliable, scalable, flexible, and cost-efficient foundation and long-term architecture is critical. This role will specifically work on the Vendor SoC, Camera systems, V2I Networking interfaces

2) WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Working with CTO and Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop state of the art ADAS and V2I software based on market trend research, data collection, and hardware validation. You’ll own the delivery of the product development to mass production manufacturing of ADAS system units.

Working with internal and external partners to define the system-level architecture for the implementation of our future generations of ADAS systems. Owning the development quality and ensuring the solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for customer experience and performance. Raising the bar on engineering excellence by producing best-in-class code, documentation, testing, and monitoring. Owning technical projects from start to finish and being responsible for major technical decisions and tradeoffs. Effectively participating in team planning, code reviews, and design discussions. Mentoring others and being a role model for the team.

3) WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

● 3+ years of related work experience in a technical or automotive industry

● Proven experience writing production-quality software

● Proficiency with C and C++11 or later

● Experience developing on and for Embedded Linux

● Experience with Networking and communication is very much desired.

● Experience driving complex Embedded Software projects through the full lifecycle of product development

● Experience architecting and delivering Embedded Systems solutions that support multiple generations of the product

● Experience engaging in communication at senior management levels and influencing technical strategies

● Experience applying and mentoring team members on software development best practices

4) Way to Stand out from the crowd

● Experience as ADAS software engineer at a Tier 1 or OEM.

● Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable (safety) standards for typical ADAS features (e.g., ASPICE, ISO26262, FMVSS, EuroNCAP).

● Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Flexray).

5) Even better if you have

● Experience with different types of camera and sensing systems

● Experience with other languages: Python, Bash

● Experience with embedded build systems, such as buildroot or Yocto

Experience with FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks, or similar
