Advisor, Digital Forensic Investigation

What you’ll achieve

The Advisor, Digital Forensic Investigation will participate in all stages of an investigation through planning, collection, analysis, and reporting. The Advisor completes documentation and procedures for testing, installation, maintenance, and training of forensic software and infrastructure.

You will:

  • Lead small and medium sized investigations, coordinating tasks and resources from corporate legal, ethics, security, Incident Response, and IT teams.

  • Manage multiple investigation requests through the entire lifecycle of Initiation, Data Collection, Analysis, and Data Production.

  • Participate in designing, testing, and deployment of new forensic or eDiscovery tools or solutions.

  • Participate on Incident Response teams as a forensic SME. Work with vendors for problem resolution.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and standardize process and procedures and provide continual improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 6-8 years of experience in the digital forensic field. Understands advanced concepts of investigations, evidence handling and computer forensics.

  • Experience with one or more major computer forensic and eDiscovery products in an enterprise environment (EnCase, FTK, CyFIR, etc.). Windows, Linux and Cloud forensic experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of file systems and underlying data structures. Problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Incident Response Forensic experience and strong skills working with a log aggregator.

  • Has obtained forensic certification (ENCE, ACE, GCFE, GCFA or other SANS certification, CISSP, etc)

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security or related major.

  • Has working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and O365. Knowledge of ANAB/ASCLD Lab Accreditation.
