Job description:

Oversee supply chain operations across multiple geographies, customers, and professional disciplines. Provide professional guidance to local managers and team members, monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and liaise with multiple stakeholders (U.P.PRO HQ, Customer Sponsors, Suppliers and Service Providers, Government Entities, etc.)

Responsibilities and authorities:

  • Lead and monitor all activities in the region, representing the company across all initiatives, customers, and sites.
  • Manage local managers and team members, monitoring and improving performance across multiple supply chain disciplines (purchasing, logistics, inventory planning, warehouse management, etc.)
  • Serve as the companys global subject matter expert on procurement and logistics; define and improve processes and procedures for purchasing, cost reduction, alternative sourcing, etc. alongside cost-effective strategies to manage international and domestic logistics across all sites.
  • Serve as customers’ second-level escalation after local managers.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and process improvements while optimizing inventory management where applicable.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement lean principles to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety guidelines, and company policies in all supply chain activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as planning, procurement, and quality, to align goals and optimize supply chain performance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in supply chain management and implement relevant improvements.

Requirements:

Skills, education, training, or experience required:

  • Proven experience as a supply chain manager, site manager, or in a similar leadership role
  • 5-10 years experience in purchasing, managing multiple suppliers, price lists, cost reduction initiatives, supplier improvement programs, etc.
  • 3-5 years experience in logistics – global and domestic.
  • At least a basic understanding of inventory planning and management is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, especially procurement,
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and experience implementing process improvement initiatives is desirable

Education:

  • A master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field is mandatory for this role.
  • Specialization or coursework in Supply Chain Management is highly desirable.
