Description

Objectives of the Position

This entity is responsible for supporting & maintaining BASF IS Infrastructure & Application landscape. In case of incident, it ensures restoring services as quickly as possible and minimize adverse impact on operations including escalation management, Change management (incl. small business requests) and continuous Service improvement (CSI).

This entity ensures direct engagement with the Internal Business Partners (IBP) to capture demands and facilitate delivery of the requested demands by collaborating with internal and external partners.

This entity represents the Regional Business Partner Services in his Location/ Country and drives IBP Experience through various initiatives and programs.

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

Stake Holder Engagement: "Active involvement of the business stakeholders and their requirements into the design and planning phase, Undertake regular reviews with different BU/FU to derive actions and mitigations, Drive IBP engagement initiatives like IS Day, Site Support Counter/ IT Point in your respective locations & responsible to Improve IBP Experience"

Operations: "Execute, Consult, Drive & Improve Onsite Workplace & Infrastructure Support pan India covering more than 2000 users : Supporting standard services (PCs, Printers, etc), Co ordinations with service providers, local IT support activities, issue management, ticket monitoring, coordinate & coordinate with Service desk for faster resolution as applicable. Execute, Consult, Drive & Improve Business. Driving IT process awareness and trainings, : Drive - Inventory Management and Pool Management for (PCs, Notebooks, Smartphone, Tablets, IT accessories, etc.), disposal of hardware globally incl. data cleaning, logistic coordination and project support e.g. M&A…, IT Asset Management and Asset accounting and recording in GAHD. "

Projects: "Manage, Consult, Execute & Implement Local Projects, Drive & Support rollout of Global Projects"

Manage expectations and reactions to change, Develop local change plan as needed, Orchestrate local changes, Information about change impact, Communication about what has changed, Organize and coordinate trainings.

Partner/ Vendor Coordination: Drive - local vendor coordination, processing local procurement for IT, driving service quality improvements. Ensure compliance to BASF policies & processes

People: "Manage Contractual & Trainee’, Ensure target setting, Periodical reviews, Annual Review, drive competency & Skill development"

Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or technical discipline

Working Experience

• 8-12 Years relevant Experience
• 6+ years people managing experience
• Experience working with operations and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
• Experience communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
• Experience in Procurement, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Asset Management

Technical & Professional Knowledge

• Project management skills
• Technical expertise in one or more IT related fields including networking, Microsoft administration, and/or Cisco network configuration and management
• Understanding of core internet technologies - DHCP, DNS, mail transport, TCP/IP.
• Experience managing teams in a high pressure IT environment
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audience
