Introduction

We are now looking for an Assistant Manager Project Logistics join the Services Project Logistics Central & East team in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

You will join a team of Services Project Logistics experts dedicated to managing and planning projects according to project specific contractual requirements.

Our team culture is all about being organized and getting it done together. The members in our team are in various locations globally and coordinate with Purchasing, Project Management and other internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (What you’ll do)

Planning, managing, and monitoring of logistics in services projects according to project specific contractual requirements and corporate processes and guidelines.

Contributing to the selection and nomination of the project LSP in alignment with Logistics Sales Support Manager

Proactively manages and monitors shipping and transportation schedules, including deviations according to project delivery schedule.

Managing and preparing required logistics and customs clearance documentation

Supporting Letter of Credit invoicing and documentation, whenever applicable

Supporting Customer in customs issues

Monitoring and reporting deviations to logistics budget and project delivery schedule.

Any other task assigned

Relationships and Authority.

Direct report to Project Logistics Manager.

Qualification And Experience (Who you are)

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in similar role/ domain /area.

Previous experience in Heavy Equipment Manufacturing is an asset.

Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft office environment.

Personal Attributes (To succeed)

To be successful you should have previous related work experience in logistics and project business. You have solid business and industry understanding and relevant education supporting the role. You have knowledge and experience of logistics processes in international air/sea/road/rail/courier freight and domestic transportation.

You can organize and prioritize your own work and you have excellent time management skills. You are analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills. You have basic technical and IT skills, especially in Office, and you learn new technologies easily.

You have a systematic and hands-on workstyle, and you can work autonomously and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. You have ability to articulate, engage and analyze situations and seek practical solutions to drive positive outcomes. You have strong communication and negotiation skills and good written and verbal communication skills in English – all other additional languages are considered as asset. Most importantly you are a team player always willing to learn and help each other to succeed.
