Job Description


Key Responsibilities


Position Title: Assistant/Associate Manager-Finance

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Division: Finance

Education - CA minimum


Scope and general purpose of the role:

The general purpose of this position is to ensure timely and accurate accounts consolidation, strengthening internal controls and support in direct tax matters.


Reports to: Finance Controller

Direct Reports: Individual Contributor


Key Accountabilities


Financial Accounting


  • Consolidation of Statutory Financial Statements

  • IndAS understanding


Internal Controls


  • Ensuring the Internal Audit in a timely manner

  • Compliance with Internal Financial Control

  • Regular followup with the stakeholders for control and compliance


Direct Tax (India, Kenya, South Africa)


  • Provision for Tax and Tax Audit

  • Transfer Price/ICDS- basic understanding (India)

  • Driving Income tax assessments/refunds/change in different provisions.


Key Relationships

  • Internal / External Auditors

  • Taxation team/consultants

  • Centre of Excellence (COE)/Shared Service Organisation (SSO)


Essential Skills Required:


  • Excellent business acumen, with strong knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements, Sarbanes Oxley processes and US GAAP and IGAAP reporting.


  • High level of technical & analytical skills and effective utilisation of the most up-to-date and current finance practices and processes

.

  • Strategic capability with the ability to influence decisions and directions.


  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.


  • Strong process mindset and skills to drive continuous improvement as well as Project Management skills
