Role Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Control Assessment & Assurance:

  • Perform Control Tests across RCFCC
o Consolidate data / information required to perform the tests.
o Ensure checks are performed / recorded on time and with accuracy.
o Follow up on the due / overdue checks with relevant stakeholders / Process Owners (POs).
o Liaise with Country CAAs for clarifications required
o Liaise with Hub Admin for KCI & CST Samples
o Liaise with Hub Admin for reports - Previous & Current
o Follow up on exceptions and remediation plan
o Thematic review of the exceptions to identify the emerging themes and risks
  • Manage the e-Assurance tool used for recording results of the checks performed.
  • Download reports, summarize and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders (countries and group).
  • Conduct sample checks on the CSTs & KCIs which are self-certified to ensure appropriate evidence are attached along with the results as applicable.
  • Ensure user access list is up to date for the e-Assurance tool on regular basis.

Key Measurables:

Effectiveness in the management CAA will be indicated by:
  • The extent to which operational risk events and audit findings are surprises rather than having been identified as exposures.
  • An acceptable and understood history of operational risk losses.
  • An acceptable history of audit results and assurance outcomes.
  • Evidence that the control structure is well understood and aligned with significant exposures.
  • Timely responses to changes in Local and Group regulatory environment (e.g. FSA) and, Group internal policies and standards with operational risk exposure.
  • Timely analysis, reporting and escalation of real or potential significant operational risk exposures.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 2-4/8 years of experience within the area of business to which they are assigned, preferably including experience within business operations.
  • Sound judgement and courage necessary to perform a control role and retain effectiveness over time.
  • The ability to communicate to different levels within the organisation to put across difficult issues and recommendations when necessary.
  • Appropriate academic training and/or experience in Control Testing / Audit.
  • Strong analytical and dispute resolution skills. Ability to command the respect of a cross functional set of professionals at senior level (internal and external).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – written and oral. Meets deadlines.
