Overall Purpose of the Job:

  • Plan and coordinate with the project team, FPO-CEO for business
    development, Liaison with Government and Private players organizing capacity building events, preparation of communication materials, documentation of periodical reports, case studies, MIS etc

Project / Organizational

  • Conduct baseline and related studies as necessary for the project / FPOs
  • Support and facilitate mobilization of share capital and membership for FPOs
  • Make extensive field visits and attend farmers group meetings, FPO board meetings, etc.,
  • Capacity building training on business and exposure visit to FPO-CEO, BODs and FPO members for effective services, etc
  • Coordinate with Project Manager/ District Coordination and participate in the monthly meeting for review, planning, and effective implementation
  • Prepare progress reports and plans (Monthly, Quarterly Annual) for submission
  • Preparation of necessary MIS formats and ensure data management
  • Maintain photo and video documentation related to the project
  • Prepare case studies and process documentation
  • Participate in donor visits, meetings and workshops to share the learning from the project
  • Leverage funding support from local donors and various government departments for FPOs
  • Ensure the regular updation of Web based MIS for input and output marketing business of FPO

Business Development

  • Ensure crop planning and inputs requirement at the farmer level and consolidation of information at FPO level for the planning of collective activities: Demand generation
  • Establish linkages with Private and Govt. Agencies for both input and output marketing of FPO
  • Preparing FPOs Business Planning and Establishment of required systems in FPOs
  • Resource mobilization, infrastructure establishment, linkages for FPOs
  • Conduct Capacity building programs, training, and workshop for enhancing the business skills of FPO CEOs and BoD members
  • Field visit to FPO area along with FPO CEO and FPO committee to assess the cropping patter and liaison with buyers for sales
  • Facilitate applying and acquiring required licenses like inputs, Marketing and other dealerships in addition to Pan, GST for FPOs
  • Participate in BoD monthly meeting and assess the challenges and opportunities
  • Formulate strategies for bringing new business to FPO
  • Channel partner development and follow up with a old partners for innovation related to FPO related business
  • Support overall marketing activities of FPOs
  • Continuous updation on new Govt. scheme related to FPOs business
  • Facilitate proposal preparation along FPO CEO, BoD, Project Manger
  • Bringing appropriate credit linkages for FPO

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master?s degree in Agricultural Allied, Economics, Commerce, Agri. Business, MBA related specialization
  • With five years of relevant work experience in the areas of agricultural marketing, agri-input supply, Marketing, sales distribution and business development
  • Knowledge on local Language, Arithmetic, Analytical, Sales Marketing, Management, Commodity market / Agricultural trading, Documentation Computers
  • Strong oral and written communication / negotiation skills in Telugu and English
  • Ability to work independently to achieve performance objectives and deliverables
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, MIS, Communication systems and social media
  • Work in a team and promote team spirit and culture
