Chief FINANCE OFFICER

LOCATION: Bahraich, Uttar pradesh

General Description: Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this exempt position is responsible for providing financial support for a multi-office non-profit organization based in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Duties include but are not limited to general ledger maintenance, payroll support, bank and account reconciliations, financial report preparations and monitoring organization-wide internal controls & structures. Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills are required. High degree of accuracy, punctuality and attention to detail is needed.

Main Responsibilities
Organizational Balance Sheet maintenance
Regular maintenance/adherence of financial Compliances
Maintain Fixed Asset reports and accounts
Procurement Management
Project-wise budget utilization
Finance analysis inputs in budgets of developing projects
Regular budget and finance analysis
Assist independent auditors during annual audits.

Candidate Profile
Needs to work effectively within a larger team
Has a sense of ownership and tends to work holistically (beyond certain responsibilities)
Communicate effectively with donor/funders regarding finance utilization & reports
Honest, can adhere to strict timelines
Can work effectively under pressure, urgent deadlines

MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Good speaking & writing skills (Hindi, English)

Qualifications Required
Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
At least five (5) years accounting experience.
Prior work experience in a non-profit sector
Payroll processing experience
